A Compilation of Legal Norms with Respect to Expo 2010 Shanghai China Distributed

A Compilation of Legal Norms with Respect to Expo 2010 Shanghai China jointly compiled by the Expo Shanghai Leading Operation and Command Department, the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and the Legislative Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government was published on April 28. Starting from today, the books will be distributed to all district/county people’s governments and the municipal-level administrative departments of this Municipality.

The Compilation is composed of two parts: part one includes international conventions and regulations such as the Convention Relating to International Exhibitions and relevant regulations formulated by Chinese government in accordance with provisions of International Exhibitions Bureau; part two includes the rules, regulations and normative documents specially formulated or revised for the preparation and holding of the World Expo and for the work of supporting, guaranteeing and providing services for the World Expo.

After the May 1^st Labor Day, the books will be distributed free of charge to all public libraries of this Municipality to facilitate citizens’ reference. Citizens may visit www.shanghailaw.gov.cn for access to relevant contents. Besides, the books will be sold at this Municipality’s bookstores.
