The deputy secretary of Shanghai Municipal Committee, mayor Han Zheng successively surveyed Yanghan Free Port, Pudong Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Wai Gaoqiao Free Trade Zone to promote on the spot the linkage development of “three ports and three zones” on August 20. Han Zheng pointed out that the linkage development of “three ports and three zones” was imperative, and it was necessary to bring Pudong’s comprehensive advantages and accumulative effect into full play, and accelerate the upgrading of competitiveness, influence and driving force of Shanghai ports and free trade zones through unified administration, fully authorization, enlivening subjects, policy innovation, and comprehensive coordination, so as to make a greater contribution to the implementation of national strategy.

With the incorporation of Nan Hui Administrative Area into Pudong New Area, all existing ports and free trade zones in Shanghai including Wai Gaoqiao port, Pudong Airport, Yang Shan port, Wai Gaoqiao Free Trade Zone, Pudong Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Yang Shan Free Port are now located in Pudong New Area. In the survey, Han Zheng paid more attention to enterprise entities’ present operation in three free trade zones, and conscientiously listened to the advices and suggestions on government services put forward by enterprise directors.

At the meeting of promoting on-the-spot the linkage development of “three ports and three zones”, Han Zheng indicated that Pudong should, in the new turn of development, further put its own development into the background of Shanghai development and national development according to the requirements of “three concentrations”, and always study and solve problems with an overall point of view.
